In a perfect world manufacturing lines would produce 100% perfect assemblies. However, even with good process controls and excellent equipment there will always be a small number of faults. With many of the assemblies we produce having over 1000 opportunities for error and it only taking 1 error to cause a board to not function it is essential we inspect the assemblies and ideally test them at an early stage.

Inspecting to IPC standards
Knowing your acceptable quality levels is as important as sending us your data and bills of material.
X-ray/ BGA
Checking that BGAs and QFNs are placed and soldered to the highest standards can be a challenge unless you have X-Ray and a BGA Scope.
Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
AOI enables fast and accurate inspection of PCBs, ensuring that the quality of product leaving the production line is high and items are built correctly.
In Circuit Test (ICT)
ICT is a fast and efficient fully automated method of testing, which helps detect defective components by check them individually.
Boundary Scan Testing
Boundary Scan Testing / JTAG is fast becoming a normal test platform for digital assemblies.
Flying Probe Test
Flying Test is an excellent test system for smaller batches. and requires little design input.
Functional Test
Functional Test is often needed as a proof that the assembly or unit conforms to specification.
